Aromatherapy & Menopause

A Mindful Approach to Life through Aromatherapy, Nutrition & Fitness.

Mindful Mixtures is coming out with a new product called PAUSE, and you guessed it, it’s all about menopause. Many essential oils have properties that are known to balance hormones and other symptoms related to menopause. Our formula helps boost the immune system and lessens fatigue but also balances monthly highs and lows, minimizes night sweats, reduces hot flashes, eases digestion and allows you to sleep better.

Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) could be a woman’s best friend. She listens to what your body has to say and always seems to have the right answer. She soothes your head when it’s pounding and settles your stomach when it’s cramping. Clary Sage not only calms your nerves but it has been scientifically proven to reduce cholesterol and cortisol levels and has a significant impact on improving circulation and mood.

Basil (Ocimum basilicum) is a delicious herb we all love to eat and its oil is rich with phytoestrogens. When women enter menopause their estrogen and progesterone levels decrease and the usual functions of our hormones are altered. Basil’s phytoestrogens help stimulate the body’s normal hormone process by taking the place of estrogen in the cells until the body can produce it’s own. While they are present, they protect the cells against hormonal disruptions. Basil’s gift to women is that it doesn’t over stimulate or cause the body to stop producing it’s own estrogen.

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris ct. linalool) is one of the gentlest chemotypes that this plant has to offer. It has a high percentage of linalool, which can help calm and nourish the nervous and immune systems. Thyme has been known to improve progesterone production, which plays a role in mood swings, weight gain, hot flashes and insomnia. Low progesterone levels have been linked to infertility, depression and hormonal imbalance in both men and women.

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) has been revered for its carminative actions (bloating, belching and constipation), and as a powerful digestive aid. It can boost circulation, stimulate lactation in new mothers, and reduce symptoms caused by irregular hormone levels. Fennel has a high percentage of (E)-anethole (estrogen-like properties) and should be avoided if you have endometriosis, or estrogen-depended cancers.

We hope our formula can offer you some relief. Be on the lookout for PAUSE. It will be coming to our website soon!

Take care ~
